Corey Mock named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week Jan. 11-17
Corey Mock (Chapel Hill, N.C./University of North Carolina) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 11-17. Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level. Mock, a freshman 157-pounder, was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week following a weekend that included an upset of the nation’s fifth-ranked wrestler and a first-period pin that helped key the Tar Heels to a non-conference victory.
