Marquin Hill named James Johnson Award winner
Marquin Hill of Washington High School has been named the Most Outstanding and Dominating wrestler of eastern North Carolina for 2011 by The TakeDown Report. He will receive the James Johnson Award as recognition. Marquin was undefeated at 285 in his senior season as he repeated as the 3A State Champion. In 2010 Hill won the Roy Heaverly Award as the top underclassman in the east. By winning both awards he becomes the first wrestler since 3 time state champion Raymond Jordon of New Bern to win both awards. Jordan earned his honors in 2004 & 2005 before going on to become a 2 time All-Ammerican at the University of Missouri. More details to be announced,
