Lee Carroll Award Co-Winners Announced
Due to a rare tie for a top award the TakeDown Report announces two winners for the 2011 Lee Carroll Sportsmanship Award for wrestlers in the Tar-Roanoke Region. Underclassmen heaveyweights Chris Fess of Beddingfield H.S. and Tamaris Lane of Nash Central H.S. both placed 3rd in the state. Fess in the 2A division and Lane in the 3A division. More details to be announced later.

After 20 seasons of publicizing wrestling The TakeDown Report’s (TDR) focus has changed to the collecting of college coaching records from North America since 1903. We will continue to recognize and reward successful wrestlers in eastern North Carolina (east of Raleigh & Fayetteville), assist with schools in starting or re-starting a team and this blog.
