Mat Mayhem National Finals in Stillwater
The Oklahoma State Cowboys will host the National Duals Championships sponsored by the NWCA this weekend. They will join other regional champs who qualified in 6 team tournaments the week before. Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa will be the other teams in this Final 4 of Division I college wrestling.
State Dual Champions
The State Championship Teams in Dual Meets was determined in the finals on Febr. 11th. In the 1A division West Wilkes won again by a 50-13 score over relative new comer Ayden-Grifton. In 2007 Ayden-Grifton accepted the TDR Mat Challenge and restarted their wrestling team after a 30 year absence. In their 5th year of that rebirth the tam hosted the state dual finals.
In Division 2A Croatan fell to Piedmont Rocky River by a 41-22 score. Orange County captured the 3A Division title 34-30 over SW Randolph. In the 4A Division Parkland repeated as champions over Pinecrest by the final score of 37-25.
