Knights Wrestling Report
September/2012 By Coach Joe Baranik
The Knights Wrestling Team is in full attack mode as we start the pre-season workouts for the 2012/13 season. It is an exciting time for St. Andrews Wrestling (SAW), as we embark on our 7th year of having a program since 1970. Five major factors that drive my enthusiasm; 1) Justin Hoover (All-American last year), has been hired as our first full-time assistant coach 2) we return All-American sophomore Denzel Vaughan 3) we brought in 12 new recruits 4) we are now officially in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and 4) we will host the NAIA National Qualifier on February 16. Our 25 member squad has been working hard at 6:20 am on Monday, Wed. and Friday with running and strength training and developing their technique in the afternoons.
