Minot State Wrestling mixes it up at exhibition
TDR Editor’s Notes; The Battling Beavers of Minot State went international in hosting the Canadian University of Regina Cougars.

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State University wrestling team faced off at the University of Regina Thursday, wrestling freestyle in an exhibition match that resulted in a 28-23 decision in favor of Regina. The Beavers won five matches, while the Cougars also earned five wins. MSU got off to a nice start as Liam Hayden won the first match, pinning his opponent in the 57 kilogram weight-class. The Beavers then lost two matches at 90 and 61 kgs before Keegan Berry won by technical fall at 82 kilograms. Bryce Broome, a Minot State football player, made his debut with the wrestling team today at 100 kilograms against the Cougars, but ultimately lost by fall.
