Senior finished season 53-0
GREENSBORO – Forget about talking, Dixon senior Thomas Hudson was having trouble catching his breath after capturing the NCHSAA 2-A heavyweight state championship Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Hudson, who was driven all season by memories of going 0-2 in last year’s state championship at 220 pounds, pinned West Craven junior Joshua Crump with 51 seconds left in the second period to not only take home the gold but also finish the season undefeated at 53-0.
And just for good measure the 18-year-old Hudson finishes his career with 158 wins – second in school history to only Josh Thomas, who graduated in 2016 with 168 victories. Rest of the story at http://www.jdnews.com/sports/20180217/dixons-hudson-wins-state-wrestling-title
