Reenan Tabbed ACC Wrestler of the Week for Fourth Time
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State 184-pound redshirt sophomore Nick Reenan has been recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week after helping the Wolfpack to an important team win in last Friday night’s match at rival North Carolina. Reenan’s 6-4 decision over returning All-American and No. 14-ranked Chip Ness highlighted NC State’s five-match winning streak in a 20-14 victory over the No. 13 Tar Heels, who entered the night unbeaten in ACC action and one match ahead of the 10th-ranked Wolfpack in the conference standings. Reenan scored both of the takedowns in the bout. The ACC Wrestler of the Week honor is the Dallas native’s ACC-best fourth of the season.
