Fayyazi, Jarmillo, And Luna Signed As First Wrestling Recruits In Vanguard Program Relaunch
COSTA MESA, Calif. – Nearly 40 years after the matmen departed from Southern California College, the Vanguard Wrestling program has inked its first three recruits for the Lions. IN a historic signing day ceremony Armon Fayyazi, Sunny Luna, and Manuel Jaramillo commited to the Pride and will serve as foundational members for Head Coach Caleb Flores during 2019-20 campaign. Fayyazi joins the Lions from nearby Irvine, California where he wrestled at Irvine High School before moving on to Santa Ana College for two seasons; He wrestles in two weight classes – 165 pounds and 174 pounds. Luna will head to Orange County for his college career after graduating from Victor Valley High School this Spring.
