O’Connor Set To Return This Weekend At Cleveland State Open

CHAPEL HILL — No. 1 Austin O’Connor (149 pounds) will return to the mat this weekend at the Cleveland State Open, North Carolina announced Tuesday.  O’Connor will wrestle in the tournament and is expected to make his dual meet debut on December 20 at Little Rock.
O’Connor has not seen time on the mat since last season, when he finished third at the 2019 NCAA Championships.

Quant Wrestling Dual of the Week Preview: Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State travels Sunday to Oklahoma for the 178th edition of the Bedlam Dual. The Cowboys have owned a huge advantage in the series — Oklahoma State leads 141-27-10 — and posted a 41-2 win last year.  This year’s dual, however, looks a lot more even, both in terms of rankings and after a dive into the analytics.  Quant Wrestling has analyzed matches and compiled data on the probable starters for both programs.  Quant Wrestling combines the discipline of big data and analytics with the sport of wrestling.
