Wabash Rallies For Dual-Meet Win At Millikin
Wabash rallied to score 15 points in the final three matches to defeat 23rd-ranked Millikin University 26-20 Friday evening in dual-meet competition in Decatur, Illinois. The Little Giants (9-2), ranked fourth in the latest Division III wrestling team poll, trailed 20-11 heading into the heavyweight bout. Wade Ripple scored a 2-0 decision to give Wabash three points and trim the Big Blue (18-6) lead to 20-14. Smith And Rodenhaber Earn Pins for Golden Wolves
Reading, Pa. (Jan. 24, 2020) – Chase Smith and Palmer Rodenhaber both earned pins to lead Alvernia University to a 30-15 win over Penn College Friday evening in NCAA Division III wrestling action at The Physical Education Center. Smith pinned Daniel Bergeron in the 174 pound bount in 1:52 of the first period and Rodenhaber closed the match win a pin of Ty Stahli in 2:16 in the heavyweight bout. La Crosse, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team earned a 26-14 win over UW-Platteville Friday night in Mitchell Hall to remain undefeated in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The Eagles, ranked 18th on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Top-25 Poll, improve to 8-4 overall and 4-0 in the WIAC while the Pioneers, ranked 25th in the NWCA, drop to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the WIAC. Lander tops King, Emmanuel in tri-meet
GREENWOOD – The Lander wrestling team earned a sweep in the program’s first-ever home tri-meet, knocking off King 30-12 and beating Emmanuel 32-10 in front of 233 fans at Finis Horne Arena. Lander (4-5) earned its first back-to-back wins in program history with the victories over King (3-5) and Emmanuel (2-14). Findlay Roughnecks Dominate Day 1 of G-MAC Championship
The University of Findlay wrestling team opened the 2020 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship with a pair of wins over Alderson Broaddus and Ohio Valley on Jan. 24 inside the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex. The Roughnecks dominated the first day of competition by outscoring their opponents by 99 points. They defeated Alderson Broaddus 42-2 and scored a 57-0 victory over Ohio Valley. Augustana Wrestling Dominates in Sixth-Straight Victory
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Augustana wrestling team rattled off its sixth-consecutive dual victory Friday night in the Elmen Center. The Vikings defeated the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State 27-10 and moved to 6-2 on the season, 6-0 against Division II competition and 3-0 in NSIC duals.

Conner pins for Greyhound win over Bellarmine
INDIANAPOLIS- In its second dual win that came down to criteria in two weeks, the UIndy Greyhounds (6-6) took a 19-18 win over visiting Bellarmine in Great Lakes Valley Conference action in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center Friday night. The dual came down to some last-match heroics from redshirt senior Brody Conner, in his first action in two weeks. Conner, wrestling up a weight at 197, had to pin to force the match to criteria, and delivered with a fall over Charlie Caudell in 1:59. The #1 ranked St. Cloud State wrestling team (11-0, 3-0 NSIC) continued its success in 2019-20 with a solid 39-3 victory at #23 Minot State University in Minot, N.D. on Friday, Jan. 24. The Huskies charted nine consecutive wins in the match after starting the night with a loss at 125-pounds. The victory was SCSU’s 59th consecutive victory, which is an NCAA DII record for most consecutive dual match wins. Purdue Rolls Terrapins on the Road 37-4
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Purdue wrestling team put up a huge road win Friday night, winning 9-of-10 matches on its way to a 37-4 dual win over Maryland at The Pavilion at the Xfinity Center. The Boilermakers put up bonus points in five of the nine wins, including back-to-back pins to close the dual as they improved to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in conference action.
The Boilermakers’ 34-point margin was their biggest in a conference dual since dealing Wisconsin a 41-3 defeat on Jan. 20, 2012. It was their fourth straight over the Terrapins, all coming since Maryland joined the Big Ten Conference. Cardinal improves to 8-1
OREM, Utah – Four bonus-point victories propelled No. 16 Stanford to a 25-19 road win over Utah Valley, Friday, in front of 1,011 fans at Lockhart Arena. Stanford (8-1) and Utah Valley (1-7) each won five bouts, but the Cardinal registered a pair of falls and technical falls to come out on top.
