1 } – Greensboro Men’s Wrestling Re-tools Schedule
GREENSBORO, N.C.—Greensboro College Men’s Wrestling Coach Kevin Birmingham announced a re-tooled 2020-2021 schedule earlier today that condenses what is normally a longer season schedule. All scheduled times and meets are subject to change throughout the season and additions can be made to the schedule at any moment. All familiar foes within the regional collegiate wrestling scene grace the condensed schedule this Winter, beginning at the Averett tri-meet Wednesday, January 20th. The Pride will tangle with both the Cougars and Patrick Henry Community College throughout the evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The tri-meet will feature the first matchup with the Patriots in program history. The Pride and the Cougars face off, head-to-head, for the fourth time in series history with Averett claiming a 2-1 advantage all-time against Greensboro. The Pride also boast another win at Averett, claiming victory in the 16-team Averett Invitational in 2018-2019. Allen University travels from Columbia, S.C. to face the Pride inside the Reynolds Center Gym Friday, January 22nd at 7 p.m. This is the second head-to-head match between Greensboro and Allen with the Pride claiming a 49-3 victory on February 2nd, 2017 in a tri-meet at St. Andrews University.

2 } – WALDORF MEN’S WRESTLING ADDS SEVEN DUAL MATCHES TO SCHEDULE FOR MONTH OF JANUARY
FOREST CITY, Iowa – The Waldorf men’s wrestling team is set to showcase its talent this month as the Warriors announced three new dates on their schedule that will feature Waldorf competing head-to-head in seven duals. To get things started, the Warriors will head to William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa, next Tuesday, Jan. 12, for a triangular with the host Statesmen along with Graceland. Action in the three-way dual is tentatively set to begin at 4 p.m. for the Warriors against Graceland, and at 5 p.m. against William Penn. GOLDEN, Colo. – #16 Colorado School of Mines has announced its wrestling schedule for the 2021 season. The Orediggers will wrestle an RMAC schedule against the five other schools who have opted to compete this season, while also adding a season-opening dual against #12 Fort Hays State on Jan. 14. Four meets will be at home: FHSU, Colorado Mesa (Jan. 23), Western Colorado (Feb. 6), and Chadron State (Feb. 11) with two on the road at Adams State (Jan. 30) and CSU Pueblo (Feb. 14). TEMPE – No. 11 Arizona State Wrestling announced the Sun Devils’ 2021 schedule Monday, a slate that features eight total events and a pair of home duals vs. Cal POLY and Cal State Bakersfield. “It’s finally here, the wrestling season is about to begin and we’re excited to compete,” head coach Zeke Jones said. “It’s been a long training phase and the team is anxious to face someone else on the mat besides ourselves. Bearcats led by strong junior class and new faces, ready to make immediate impact
The Binghamton University wrestling team has been persistent and hopeful as it prepared for the possibility of a 2021 season, which is now set to commence this weekend with a home dual. The Bearcats will kick off the season against Rider on Saturday in the West Gym. “I am excited for the team to have the opportunity to compete this weekend,” head coach Kyle Borshoff said. “It has been a long road of ups and downs throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, but our athletes are pumped for the chance to compete.”

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Big Ten Network today announced its schedule for the 2021 Big Ten Wrestling season, featuring at least 18 scheduled duals in a conference-only slate beginning on Friday, Jan. 8. Ten Big Ten teams are currently ranked in the top 20 of Trackwrestling’s rankings, including the four of the top five. No. 1 Iowa, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Penn State, No. 5 Nebraska, No. 7 Ohio State, No. 10 Rutgers, No. 12 Northwestern, No. 13 Minnesota, No. 17 Michigan State and No. 19 Purdue lead the way for the nation’s top wrestling conference. Wrestling coverage begins with a top-15 doubleheader tonight, as No. 2 Michigan takes on No. 10 Rutgers at 7 p.m. ET, before No. 13 Minnesota visits No. 5 Nebraska at 9 p.m. ET. 7 } – Schedule Changes for Navy Wrestling
ANNAPOLIS, Md.—In consultation with Patriot League officials and American University, the Navy men’s and women’s basketball programs will host American this weekend in a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday at Alumni Hall. The men’s game will tip at 12 noon both days, while the women will follow at 3 PM. No fans will be allowed on either day, but all four games will be televised on ESPN+ and will be available on the radio on WNAV (1430 AM / 99.9 FM). LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team’s schedule for its home date this Saturday in Cormack Hall has been changed. Ohio University will take the place of Presbyterian College in the tri-match with VMI and Campbell University. The new schedule for Saturday, Jan. 16 is as follows:

9} – Washington and Lee Announces 2020-21 Wrestling Schedule
LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University has announced its 2020-21 wrestling schedule, which is slated to begin on Saturday, February 6 with a road tilt against Ferrum College at 4:00 pm. The Generals will contest a five-match regular-season schedule, which features two home contests. The Generals’ first match in the newly opened Duchossois Athletic and Recreation Center will be on Friday, February 12 when W&L hosts Shenandoah at 6:30 pm. The Hornets will be competing in wrestling for the first time this winter.

10 } – COMPLETE LIST OF USA WRESTLING SANCTIONED EVENTS FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS, AS OF JANUARY 11, WITH 34 NEW EVENTS
USA Wrestling is regularly publishing a list of sanctioned events as our nation and our sport comes back from the COVID-19 pandemic. In this article, there are 101 tournaments/clinics listed from 14 different states over the next three months. Since our posting on January 4, there are 34 additional events which have been added to the list. The new additions are marked in bold. The list provides an easy reference for athletes, coaches and families, in order to make plans for competitions moving forward. Not only is USA Wrestling providing events on its national schedule, but many state associations and local clubs are also developing events for athletes of all ages to participate in.
Our list will include events by date, as well as events by state.
It was a big week again for Ohio, which added 10 more sanctioned events. Virginia was active with seven more events. Wisconsin and Indiana added four new events, with Missouri adding three. Kentucky and Texas added two more events. Georgia and Nebraska also added a new sanctioned event. 11 } – #1 Iowa and other college programs want complete 2021 NCAA season

Tom Brands, like all of his fellow Big Ten Conference wrestling coaches, had to wait until after Christmas to learn when his wrestlers will compete in a shortened 2021 season that began this past week and ends March 20 with the 2021 NCAA Division I Championships at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. SMSU WRESTLING VERSUS UMARY ON THURSDAY CANCELED
MARSHALL, Minn. – Officials from Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Mary announced today that the SMSU versus UMary wrestling match scheduled for this Thursday in Marshall has been canceled due to COVID-19 testing protocols.
Per Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference guidelines, the match will not be rescheduled. Tiger wrestling’s home dual against Lindsey Wilson postponed
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – With the Battle of Highway 55 men’s wrestling dual scheduled for this Friday in Campbellsville, COVID-19 protocols will postpone the dual between Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson College.
