Newberry Men’s Wrestling Swat the Yellow Jackets
COLUMBIA, S.C.- Men’s wrestling dominate the mat against Allen University with a 34-17 win. The wolves add to their win streak and move to 5-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Another deceptive score, the wolves forfeited the 125 and 165 bout resulting in an unearned 12 points for the yellow jackets. The men were not about to let that ruin their night. Kicking off the night was the 133 Ib freshman Benjamin Guiliam who had an incredible 19-3 tech. fall moving the match score to 5-6. At the 149 class with a three point 6-2 win via decision was Zach Harrington moving the wolves closer to victory, 8-11. 
Earning the wolves first win via pin during tonights slate was 157 stand-out P.J. Wunderlich tallying the wolves six points to make the score 14-11 Newberry. 174 Ib Andrew Reed cruised by his competition in a 13-2 major decision win retaking the lead 18-17. Joining the major decision club was 184 Ib Jacoby Benjamin adding to the now 22-17 score with his 11-2 victory. Bellarmine Wrestling downs Presbyterian College on Friday night
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University wrestling team battled hard on Friday night to defeat Presbyterian College in front of an energetic home crowd at Knights Hall.  
In just its second home dual of the season, Bellarmine continued its winning ways, rolling over Presbyterian 40-9.
“I’m super grateful for all the fans that came out, especially with the inclement weather we had. The environment they created again was awesome,” said Bellarmine coach Ned Schuck. “The fans brought a ton of energy and the guys love wrestling in front of that.”
Sophomore Thadd Huff (285) earned the lone pin for the Knights in the final bout of the evening.
“It’s always nice to be able to cap of the night with a pin at heavyweight and Thadd has been one of our staples in terms of being able to bring that finish at the end of a dual so, that was really cool,” Shuck said.
Redshirt freshman Trayce Eckman (141) opened the meet with a 19-4 tech fall, the first of four such results. Redshirt sophomore Zac Cowan (147) ended his at 22-7, fellow redshirt freshman Grant O’Dell (165) at 15-0 and freshman Justin Hoffer (197) at 20-3.

Blue Hose Equals Highest-Ever Point Total for Single Dual, Dominates Truett McConnell at Templeton
CLINTON, S.C. – Continuing the all-time theme between the two programs (i.e. the Blue Hose winning via commanding fashion), the Presbyterian College men’s wrestling squad moved to 4-0 versus Truett McConnell on Sunday afternoon by taming the Bears 44-6. After dropping the first bout of ten, PC shook off the suboptimal start and promptly won the following six encounters to denote the program’s highest single-dual point total in the team’s history.

Blue Hose Stings Emory & Henry to Finish Off 4-0 Record at Home
CLINTON, S.C. – The 15th-ranked Presbyterian College women’s wrestling team celebrated a raucous Senior Night atmosphere with a one-sided dual victory against Emory & Henry on Friday evening to the tune of a 37-10 final difference, putting the finishing touches on a perfect 4-0 stance when competing at Templeton Gymnasium on the year.
Wrestling on their home turf for the first time since December, the Blue Hose closed the book on their dual slate in style by obtaining a W in 80 percent of the night’s encounters. Head coach Brian Vutianitis‘ roster utilized two pins and technical falls apiece to account for the 27-point tally and their eighth triumph in a one-on-one setting throughout the campaign. From here, Presby will settle in to tournament mode with their dual calendar now in the rearview mirror.
