Life Women’s Wrestling Cruises to Four Wins at Warrior Duals
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Life University women’s wrestling program hit the road earning a couple of Mid-South Conference victories over Rochester, 44-4, Siena Heights, 29-16, and Lourdes, 45-2. Additionally, the Running Eagles ran away with their non-conference contest against DII Hiram 42-5.
Life U (16-1) maintains its perfect dual meet record against NAIA opponents, starting the day with a match against Siena Heights. Starting at 101 lbs, Devyn Gomez won via forfeit before Brianna Funakoshi earned a win via decision, 5-2. Miranda DiBennedetto and Anna Krejsa both followed with quick 10-0 tech falls before Sophie Sarver got the first pin of the day to easily boost the lead to a one-sided 21-1. Angelina Prado and Shani Tyson then both earned tech falls before the Running Eagles dropped the final three bouts, 29-16. Southeastern Wrestling Posts 4-0 Record at AAC Duals
CLEVELAND, Ga.—The only points scored by SEU opponents came from three forfeits as Southeastern won every contested match on the day to win all four of its matches at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Duals.  
The Fire posted four technical falls and three pins to cruise to a 47-6 win over St. Andrews. All three matches against Pikeville ended in the first period by fall or technical fall for a 53-0 win. The Fire recorded four more pins with three in the first period of a 48-6 win over Truett-McConnell. Only two matches made it out of the first period in a 48-6 win over Montreat.
Chris Kelly recorded a first period fall in his match against Pikeville and a second period fall in the match against Truett. Andrew Voiles went 4-0 with a fall 47 seconds into his first match and a pair of technical falls. Reinhardt Wrestling Goes 3-0 in AAC Crossover Duals
Cleveland, GA – Reinhardt continued its successful season this Saturday at the AAC Crossover Duals which was hosted by Truett McConnell. The Eagles were matched up against Brewton-Parker, St. Thomas (FL), and Pikeville (KY) where they won every match comfortably.
Angel Banda (125), Domenico DiGena (140), Wyatt Higgins (165 & 174), and Jonathan Paramore (184) all went 3-0 on the day to help lead the Eagles. Banda had two pins from his matches, and DiGena ended up with 2 pins and a forfeit. Paramore has steadily improved since the beginning of the season and is now accumulating wins on his resume. Wiggins has proven to be solid wrestling at both 165 and 174 this season and he picked up a pin in his matches.
All-Americans Trevor Burdick and Matt Jenkins had an undefeated day in all of their matches. Burdick split time with Devin Griffen who is also having a superb season as the backup 157 wrestler. Burdick and Griffen both had pins on the day. Jenkins split time with Higgins at both 165 and 174. Morningside men’s wrestling wins three of four duals at GPAC Duals
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – It was a busy day inside the Long Lines Family Recreation Center Saturday, as the No. 17 Mustangs battled four opponents as a part of the GPAC Duals Day 2 in Sioux City. The Mustangs went 3-1 on the day, defeating Hastings 36-12, Midland 52-0, and Briar Cliff 32-16. Between the Midland and Briar Cliff results was a 29-15 loss to No. 7 Doane.
To start the day, Taylor Vasquez earned a fall in 2:56 to pick up the first of four wins for him on the day. Noah Styskal added a 23-13 major decision to start a run of four straight victories for Morningside against the Broncos. Zander Ernst followed with an 18-3 tech fall and Alex Vandyke a 4-0 decision made it 24-6. Hayden Wempen received a victory by forfeit to make it 30-6. Hunter DeJong earned a fall in 4:51 to wrap up the 36-12 victory to open the day. Spartans Go Undefeated at AMC/SAC Duals
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.  – The Missouri Baptist Spartans Men’s Wrestling team made program history on Saturday, as they swept through three opponents at the combined American Midwest Conference and Sooner Athletic Conference wrestling duals. Two of their three victories came against teams which are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Men’s Wrestling Coaches’ Poll.
Dual #1 – Missouri Baptist 46, Williams Baptist 6
MBU opened their day with an dominating performance over the Williams Baptist University Eagles. They won the first eight of the nine contested matches, with seven of them coming by fall and the other two by tech fall. Winning by pin were John Davis (125), Joel Campbell (157) Tony Connor (165), Nicholas Keim (174), Blake Johnson (184), and Logan Neumann (197). Dillon Witt (133) and ET Rodgers Jr. (149) both won by tech fall. Both teams forfeited at 141 pounds. While almost all the matches swung heavily in the favor MBU, Johnson scored a victory by fall while trailing 9-2 to start the third period. Starting the period in top position, Johnson was successful in his technique and patience as he got the turn and the fall just 30 seconds into the final period.
