Taye Ghadiali named SoCon Wrestler of the Week
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Taye Ghadiali was selected as the SoCon Wrestler of the Week, announced by the conference this afternoon.
Ghadiali earned the honor after defeating No. 3 Nick Feldman from Ohio State at the NWCA All-Star Classic, held on the campus of Penn State this past Saturday. With the win, Ghadiali became the second Campbell wrestler to participate in and win his match at the All-Star Classic.
Ghadiali defeated Feldman by a score of 8-3, scoring two takedowns, an escape and nearly two minutes of riding time to close out the victory.
The three-time defending SoCon heavyweight champion, Ghadiali ranks seventh in the country according to Intermat, FloWrestling and TCWR.
