NEW COLLEGE TEAMS — Chatham Announces Wrestling Programs, Athletic Alley, Purple & Gray Club

PITTSBURGH – On Thursday, Chatham University doubled-down on its commitment to the development of athletics with the announcement of Men’s and Women’s Wrestling, Athletic Alley and the Purple & Gray Club. “I am delighted to share exciting news about Chatham’s continued growth and commitment to further activating Chatham Eastside, enhancing student life, supporting athletic excellence, and fostering community engagement,” said Dr. Rhonda Phillps, Chatham President.
Wrestling Programs
Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Leonard Trevino has announced the addition of Men’s and Women’s Wrestling as the school’s 24th and 25th intercollegiate programs.
These programs, which join Women’s Flag Football and Competitive Cheer as recent additions to Chatham, are set to begin competition in the fall of 2026.
“The addition of these programs continues the positive trajectory of athletics at Chatham University,” shared Trevino. “We are excited to add these two sports and are committed to support and build competitive wrestling programs.
