JWU to host 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championship
Rhode Island natives Fry, Ellis, Betancur among likely participants
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Johnson & Wales University will host the 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championship on March 14-15, 2025 at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. Tournament Home Page / Tickets
The event will feature four sessions as student-athletes from across the country will compete to capture an individual national championship in 10 weight classes: 125 lbs., 133 lbs., 141 lbs., 149 lbs., 157 lb., 165 lbs. 174 lbs., 184 lbs., 197 lbs., and 285 lbs. The championships culminates with the crowning of both individual national champions and a team champion on Saturday night:
Session 1: Friday, March 14 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Preliminary rounds one and two / consolation first round
Session 2: Friday, March 14 – 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Championship quarterfinals / consolation second and third rounds
Session 3: Saturday, March 15 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Championship semifinals / consolation quarterfinals and semifinals / consolation matches for third, fifth and seventh place
Session 4: Saturday, March 15 – 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
