Wrestlers Claim 26th Regional Crown With Three Champions and Five National Qualifier

Head Coach Tyler Reinhart earned his first in his inaugural season and the Pitt-Johnstown wrestling program claimed its 26th overall NCAA Super Region I Championship with three champions and a pair of second-place finishers, Saturday afternoon at Fairmont State (WV) University.
Trevon Gray (125 lbs.), Chad Ozias (149 lbs.), and Dakoda Rodgers (197) all won individual titles, while Noah Gnibus (184 lbs.) and Isaiah Vance (285 lbs.) both placed second to lead the group of five Mountain Cat who earned spots in the 2025 NCAA National Tournament in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 14-15.
In addition to the national qualifiers, Tyson Cook (133 lbs.) and Cooper Warshel (157 lbs.) both finished fourth, and Mason Myers (141 lbs.), Macon Myers (1675 lbs.), and Tony Salopek (174 lbs.) all came away with fifth-place finishes.
The Mountain Cats, who put seven wrestlers into the semifinals and five into the finals, had all ten of their wrestlers place in the top-five, to win the regional title with 148.0 points, 6.5 points better than second-;place Gannon. Kutztown (122.0 points), Millersville (79.0 points), and Frostburg State (77.0 points) rounded out the top-five in the 12-team field..
