Presbyterian Pummels First Three Opponents of New Season
SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. – The fifth-ranked Presbyterian College women’s wrestling team was practically perfect on Saturday afternoon, making a statement to start the new season in lopsided victories over Newberry, Allen, and Huntingdon.
Twenty different PC wrestlers competed at least once in those three duals, beating Newberry 43-3, Allen 43-6, and Huntingdon 43-2. Out of the 30 standard matches (excluding exhibitions), the Blue Hose went an astounding 29-1. They collected 13 pins and were simply dominant from beginning to end.
Presbyterian outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 129-11. Dating back to last season, PC has now won 11 of their last 13 dual encounters.
