Davidson Wildcats Cruise to First Win; Conclude Carolina Duals, 1-1

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Davidson wrestling team finished the Carolina Duals 1-1 highlighted by a 50-6 victory over Greensboro College before falling to host and No. 21 North Carolina, 47-0, Friday evening inside Carmichael Arena.
In their opening match, the Wildcats recorded four pins and four technical falls to pick up their first dual victory over the season.
After Brady Joling put Davidson on the board by way of forfeit at 125 pounds, Luke Passarelli (133 pounds: 20-3 TF), Marley Washington (141 pounds: Fall – 2:46) and Anderson Heap (149 pounds: 18-1 TF) extended the margin to 22-0.
Following a forfeit at 157 pounds, Bryce Griffin (1:21) and Marc Koch (1:37) clinched the dual with consecutive pins at 165 and 174 pounds, respectively.
