#10 Wrestling Adds Wins Over Morgan State and #13 Rutgers

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. – 10th-ranked NC State wrestling added two more wins under its belt Sunday afternoon by claiming a dominant 45-4 victory over Morgan State and a chippy 27-11 victory over 13th-ranked Rutgers.
NC State improved to 5-2 and secured another top-15 victory with back-to-back wins at the Journeymen Jostle. The Pack claimed 16 of 20 bouts on the day, 11 of which were bonus point wins in addition to a forfeit at heavyweight in the first match with Morgan State.
One of the many highlights of the day included Koy Buesgens and Matty Singleton collecting two more wins, boosting their season records to 11-0 and 7-0, respectively. Singleton turned heads with a first-period pin over three-time NCAA Qualifier, ninth-ranked Lenny Pinto at 174 lbs.
Isaac Trumble returned to competition for the first time after recovering from his knee injury that took place at the 2025 NCAA Championships in Philadelphia. The returning All-American had a strong debut, recording a major decision over three-time NCAA Qualifier, 20th-ranked Hunter Catka.
