NEWTON, Iowa — The 2025-26 regular season is in the rearview, as WIN’s Feb. 24 rankings update reflects the updated Tournament Power Index (TPI) and individual rankings heading into the conference tournaments while also providing the final set of Top 20 dual-meet teams.
In this week’s TPI, Oklahoma State (93) pulled away from the field slightly as the clear No. 2, while the logjam of programs ranked No. 2 through No. 5 remains. Ohio State (86.5), Nebraska (85.5) and Iowa State (84), all separated by just a total of 2.5 points, will all be vying for a team trophy in Cleveland. Penn State remains No. 1 with 152 total TPI points.
WIN’s TPI projects where programs could finish at the 2026 NCAA Division I Championships, which will be held March 19-21 in Cleveland. The following is a breakdown of those individual TPI points per ranking: 20 for 1st, 16 for 2nd, 13.5 for 3rd, 12.5 for 4th, 10 for 5th, 9 for 6th, 6.5 for 7th and 5.5 for 8th. Wrestlers ranked 9-12 earn two points each, followed by one and a half points for wrestlers ranked 13-16 and one point for those ranked 17-20.
Penn State features five top-ranked wrestlers with Nittany Lions Luke Lilledahl (125), Shayne Van Ness (149), Mitchell Mesenbrink (165), Levi Haines (174) and Josh Barr (197) headlining their respective weight classes. Also ranked No. 1 are three defending national champions in Lucas Byrd of Illinois (133), Jesse Mendez of Ohio State (141) and Antrell Taylor of Nebraska (157). … more at … https://www.win-magazine.com/2026/02/24/wins-feb-24-rankings-update-includes-final-top-20-dual-teams-ok-state-solidifies-no-2-spot-in-tpi/

The Nittany Lions capped their dual slate with a 50-0 win over Princeton and will head into next season riding a Division I-record 86 straight dual meet victories. Third-ranked Oklahoma State closed at 15-1 after a 32-11 win over then-No. 7 Iowa in front of 12,629 fans and a worldwide audience on ESPN’s flagship channel. It’s the fourth-largest crowd in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
It’s the 12th dual meet crowd over 10,000 fans at a Division I men’s dual event this year, surpassing the previous high of 10 set last season. Penn State, Iowa, Iowa State and Oklahoma State hosted all 12 of those events, with Iowa hosting half of them. Oklahoma State held three duals with over 10,000, Penn State two and Iowa State one.
Iowa State secured the No. 4 spot with a 20-14 victory over then-No. 14 Missouri to finish 12-2, while fifth-ranked Nebraska wrapped its dual schedule at 13-6 following a 32-6 win over Utah Valley.
Virginia Tech finished sixth at 11-3 after a 26-17 win over Duke. Eighth-ranked NC State edged Cornell 19-18 to close at 15-4.
Rutgers finished 14-5 and 11th after a 45-3 win over Hofstra. Michigan moved to 12th at 9-6 with a 34-6 victory over Central Michigan. Pittsburgh climbed to 13th after a 37-0 shutout of Virginia.

Intermat’s NCAA DI Rankings Updated (2/24/2026)
That’s it! The 2025-26 regular season is finished. As always, the season seems to fly by when you’re not cutting weight and getting beat up every day. Even though last weekend was the last week of competition for most schools there were still plenty of results that had an impact on rankings. Below, we’ll mention some of the more notable moves for the week.
125 lbs
We had a flip of the 6 and 7 spots as Troy Spratley avenged his early-season loss to Dean Peterson. Also flipping spots at 20 and 21 as Ezekiel Witt was victorious over Brady Roark in the Battle of the Dakotas. ACC wrestlers Kysen Terukina and Keyveon Roller both suffered losses and were dropped a bit. Terukina’s was to Provo; however, the totality of his body of work, probably warranted a drop. Roller lost to an unranked opponent he had beaten earlier in the season.
133 lbs
With no one losing above Jax Forrest and him technically beating an opponent that was already below him almost led us to keep him at his #6 position. Comparing resumes with Kyler Larkin, his best wins (Seidel, Ayala), trumped Larkins (Knox, Figueroa). You could probably say the same about Evan Frost, but we’ll hold off for now. The three will be in the Big 12 Championships together, so they’ll sort it out soon.
141 lbs
There had to be some work done at this weight around the 10-14 range. Stanford freshman Jack Consiglio pinned UNC freshman Luke Simcox. The Consiglio/Simcox/Jack trio have all beaten each other; so we’ll go with Jack pinning Consiglio, who just pinned Simcox – rewarding the wrestlers with the better margin of victory.
149 lbs
Previously #2 ranked Jaxon Joy was shocked by Koy Buesgens in the final week of the season. Because of this Caleb Tyus moves into the #2 spot and Joy only drops a spot based on his body of work and the lack of another great option to overtake him. Buesgens stays put, he has recently losses to the two wrestlers currently above him. Jacob Frost drops out of the top ten … more at … https://intermatwrestle.com/articles.html/college/ncaa-di-rankings-updated-2242026-r100834/
App State Wrestling Secures Another SoCon Title With Senior Day Victory
BOONE, N.C. — App State Wrestling secured another SoCon regular season title Sunday, prevailing 25-14 against Gardner-Webb in front of a sizable Senior Day crowd.
The Mountaineers (10-6, 7-1 SoCon) earned at least a share of a regular season title for the fourth time in the last five years and the eighth time in the last 11 years by tying Chattanooga and The Citadel for first place.
It’s the program’s ninth regular season title in 17 seasons under the direction of head coach JohnMark Bentley, who lost starters at five of 10 weights from last year’s championship team and has three freshmen in this year’s lineup.
With the three most accomplished wrestlers from Gardner-Webb (7-13, 4-4) filling the lightest weights at 125, 133 and 141 pounds, Sunday’s dual began at 141 following a coin flip that gave App State the choice of where to start. The Mountaineers improved to 6-1 in coin flips involving assistant coach Hunter Shaut, small victories that allowed them to choose the starting weight almost every time there wasn’t an agreement to begin at 125 pounds.
Aldo Hernandez gave up the first takedown but recorded the final two in an 8-4 decision against Dominic DiTullio, who arrived in Boone with a 5-1 record in SoCon duals, and Kaden Keiser’s six-point pin as the second-period buzzer sounded at 149 pounds produced a 9-0 lead in the team score.
Anthony Conetta won via an 18-2 tech fall at 165 pounds, and Gardner-Webb trailed 14-8 after winning a major decision at 174, but the Mountaineers were able to clinch the team victory thanks to consecutive wins by Tomas Brooker (9-0 major decision at 184), Logan Eller (9-2 decision at 197) and Stephan Monchery (11-2 major decision at heavyweight).
Facing Josh McCutchen, who was 5-0 with a 54-9 scoring advantage … more at …. https://appstatesports.com/news/2026/2/22/wrestling-secures-another-socon-title-with-senior-day-victory.aspx

Quotable
“I don’t think we wrestled poorly against The Citadel. We just didn’t execute and get all the points we could. I think from then on, we kind of understood that when we’re in on a leg, it might be the only good chance we have to score. I think from then on, you kind of saw our guys wrestle differently through the whole match. It’s great to finish the regular season this way, but now it’s postseason, and that’s the most important thing for some of these guys.” – Coach Kyle Ruschell on the last 2 weeks earning another SoCon title
“The team needed some extra points. I got to my offense … more at … https://gomocs.com/news/2026/2/22/recap-wrestling-adds-to-socon-record-trophy-case.aspx
