Charlotte, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte’s Men’s Wrestling team has inked their first commitment in the program’s history, Noah Curreri from Glen Spey, New York. Curreri is a 2017 High School All-American, New York State Finalist, and a two time state place winner. Curreri placed in two major national events last month, the NHSCA Senior Nationals and Flo Nationals. Style and substance: Kasper earns Duke’s highest honor

TDR Editor’s Notes ; A wrestler earns the top athletic award at a school that is known a bit more for another winter sport.
**********************************************************
EXINGTON – He’s become known at Duke University for his loud sports jackets and even louder rise up the ranks from unheralded 184-pound wrestler to All-America heavyweight and beyond. The beyond: Lexington grad Jacob Kasper has been named Duke Athletics MVP. No, it was not one of Coach K’s basketball players. “It’s definitely something you want to accomplish, but I never thought it would come to fruition,” said Kasper, whose sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships made him the third All-American in program history and one of 13 in Duke annals to win 30 matches.
