EXINGTON – He’s become known at Duke University for his loud sports jackets and even louder rise up the ranks from unheralded 184-pound wrestler to All-America heavyweight and beyond. The beyond: Lexington grad Jacob Kasper has been named Duke Athletics MVP. No, it was not one of Coach K’s basketball players. “It’s definitely something you want to accomplish, but I never thought it would come to fruition,” said Kasper, whose sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships made him the third All-American in program history and one of 13 in Duke annals to win 30 matches.
