Fort LeBoeuf wrestler Gorring commits to Appalachian State

Bison senior to compete for Division I program.
Julian Gorring is the latest Fort LeBoeuf wrestler who plans to compete for a Division I program in North Carolina.  Gorring, a PIAA Class 2A 182-pound finalist this past season, has verbally committed to Appalachian State.  The Bison senior said he made his decision last weekend while visiting the Boone, North Carolina, campus and Mountaineers coach Johnmark Bentley.  “Honestly, I’m so excited to commit before my senior (season at LeBoeuf) because there’s been so much on my plate,” Gorring said. “It’ll be nice not to travel every weekend (for recruiting). Now, I can focus on academics and getting that state title.”
Should that happen next spring for Gorring, he’d further mimic former teammate Charles Lenox, the 2016 LeBoeuf graduate who won that year’s 2A state title at 120.  Lenox will be a redshirt sophomore for the 2018-19 North Carolina State Wolfpack.  Gorring has another perk going into his last season as a Bison. Not only does he plan to compete at college wrestling’s highest level, but he anticipates workouts with someone who has experience at it.  Nick Milano has joined the staff of LeBoeuf coach Jason Beer. Milano, a Cathedral Prep graduate who also wrestled for Clarion University, was in charge at Iroquois for the past three seasons.
