Citadel Releases 2018-18 Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling program has released its schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season. Among the Bulldogs, opponents include Southern Conference foes Chattanooga, Campbell and three-time defending regular-season champion Appalachian State.  “We are excited for the upcoming season and happy to unveil some upgrades within the program. We have a good combination of youth and experience this year and our early schedule should prepare us to be competitive in the Southern Conference duals and SoCon Championships,” said head coach Rob Hjerling.
The Bulldogs will open the season with the Hokie Open in Roanoke, Virginia on Nov. 4. It will be the seventh time The Citadel will attend the event.   On Nov. 10, The Citadel will travel to Troy, New York to compete in the Journeymen Northeast Duals. The Bulldogs will face Drexel, Sacred Heart and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. The Bulldogs will also compete as individuals in the Journeymen Collegiate Classic Nov. 11.
The Bulldogs will participate in ACC opponent N.C. State’s, Wolfpack Open on Nov. 18, before traveling to Las Vegas on Nov. 30-Dec. 1 for the Cliff Keen Invitational.   The Citadel returns to Nevada on Dec. 20 for the Reno Tournament of Champions.  The Bulldogs will partake in the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Jan. 1.
