HSOT’s preaseason dual-team wrestling rankings
RALEIGH, N.C. — The preseason HighSchoolOT dual-team wrestling rankings open up with Cary and St. Stephens on top of their respective top 25s. Cary, which lost just twice last season, is followed by Laney, Cardinal Gibbons, Cape Fear, and Leesville Road in the East. There are five new teams in the East rankings after last year’s final poll as Havelock, Cleveland, D.H. Conley, Rosewood, and Middle Creek have replaced (in order) Pine Forest, Gray’s Creek, Overhills, Chapel Hill, and Topsail. These are the inaugural West rankings, which feature reigning 3A state champ St. Stephens tops, followed by 4A champ Northwest Guilford and 1A champ Uwharrie Charter.
