2022-23 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll – No. 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Oregon takes over top billing in the first NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll of the regular season. Campbellsville (Ky.) follows suit, Grand View (Iowa) and Menlo (Calif.) remain third and fourth respectively, while Life (Ga.) joins the Top Five. Hastings (Neb.) overtakes York (Neb.) for the final spot in the rankings.

NWCA Releases Regular Season NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll #1

MANHEIM, Pa. – The second set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women’s Wrestling rankings was released on Thursday. The top five teams stayed the same while Lock Have University cracks the top 10 for the first time in program history.

 North Central College stays atop the poll with 97 points while King University stays in the two slot with 85 points. King has the most individuals ranked, 12, as they are followed by North Central, 11, and Colorado Mesa University with 10. Colorado Mesa is ranked third with 77 points while McKendree University comes in fourth with 70 points. Augsburg University rounds out the top five with 51 points. McKendree and Augsburg both have five individuals ranked.

Top 25 sees little movement in Division I’s second full week of competition

Manheim, Pennsylvania – There was minimal movement inside the Top 25 as the NWCA released its latest Division I Coaches Poll on Tuesday.

Arizona State (1-0) returned to the top five, while Oklahoma State (2-0) made a move into the No. 10 spot after a pair of weekend wins in the Keystone State.

Top-ranked Penn State opened its season with a 44-3 win over Lock Haven, while second-ranked Iowa welcomed Division I’s newest member, California Baptist, to Carver-Hawkeye with a 42-3 win.

Fourth-ranked Ohio State (1-0) opened dual action with an 18-13 win over then-No. 10 Virginia Tech at the Covelli Center in Columbus. Arizona State (1-0) traveled to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and opened with a 25-16 win over No. 21 Rutgers at WrangleMania.
