Lee Carroll Award
The Lee Carroll Award for the outstanding underclassmen wrestler in northeastern North Carolina was presented to Heavyweight Chris Fess of Wilson Beddingfield High School. The award was presented just before Beddingfield’s first match of the season on Nov. 22nd. Fess placed 3rd at the 2011 state tournament in Division 2 A. He shares the award with Tamaris Lane of Nash Central who also finished 3rd but in the 3A division. “Both are deserving wrestlers and they placed at the same weight but did not wrestle each other. “
