All-Time Team Wins
Some notes or comments. In the past year some benchmarks or levels passed which are of some interest. The school with the most wins, Oklahoma State surpassed 1,100 wins 40 ahead of the 2nd most by Iowa State. Their winning-est coach, John Smith surpassed 400 career wins. 5th Place Iowa will reach 1,000 wins with their first win this November. Three schools topped 800 wins to become the 13th, 14th and 15th to reach that level. One of the three, Wartburg College passed Another school in Appalachian State and has moved up on Cornell University.
The College of New Jersey moved up to 24th overall, on the list past Ursinus College (for 6th in Division III) and the University of Illinois. Three schools scored their 700th dual meet win this past season as North Carolina State and Nebraska University are tied for 27th on the list with 702 wins. North Idaho Junior College is right behind them with 701 wins are are tops in wins by a junior or two year college.
Michigan State and Univ. Tennessee-Chattanooga became the latest schools to win 600 dual meets. Pittsburgh-Johnstown, Drexel and Purdue all moved up the list in the top 60 schools with more wins than the school which has the most wins and has discontinued a very successful wrestling program.
