App State Wrestling Announces 2019-20 Schedule, Season Tickets
BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State wrestling coach JohnMark Bentley on Thursday announced the Mountaineers’ schedule for the 2019-20 season, and season tickets are now on sale. In addition to hosting the 2020 Southern Conference Championships at the Holmes Center on March 8, App State’s home events at Varsity Gym include the season-opening Mountaineer Invitational on Nov. 9 and the Appalachian Open on Jan. 25 as well as nonconference duals against ACC programs NC State (Dec. 13) and Duke (Jan. 23) in Boone. App State, which has won a Southern Conference regular-season title in each of the last four years, hosts SoCon home duals on Sundays against league newcomer Presbyterian (Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.), Davidson (also Jan. 12, at 4 p.m. to conclude the doubleheader) and VMI (Feb. 23). App State’s other home dual is against highly regarded nonconference opponent Lock Haven on Jan. 16. Rest of the story at
