The college wrestling offseason is winding down, and programs across the country are preparing for another NCAA season.
While schedules vary from team to team, the start of the college wrestling season marks the return of dual meets, open tournaments and some of the sport’s biggest regular-season events.

When Does The College Wrestling Season Start?

The NCAA wrestling season typically begins in early November, with programs returning to competition after months of preseason training.
Teams usually open their seasons with a mix of dual meets, open tournaments and invitational events before conference competition begins later in the year. The opening weeks of the season often provide the first look at incoming freshmen, transfers and returning All-Americans.
