Ferrum College Panthers Report
We attended the Pembroke Classic, down in Pembroke, North Carolina. We took about half our team and true Freshman 197 lber Darreus McCrea finished fourth. Darreus made adjustments and improved every match. Its scary how good he could be if he continues to improve at this speed. Congratulations BIG D! We struggled as a team, but I did see alot of good things out of our guys. At this point of the year I am not concerned about wins and losses. I want to see improvements and effort!
This coming weekend, we will make the trip to Bristol Tennessee to wrestle at the King College Open on Sunday. This will be another great test for our guys. If you are interested in coming, please dont hesitate to call me or write to get the lowdown. Panther Wrestling Club members (and those whom would like to join), we will be starting winter workouts on Sunday, November 25th @ 6 pm. We will be going most of the winter on Sunday nights. Please contact me for details. The price is very minimal! Finally, we will be having the dedication of the brand new Ferrum Wrestling Complex on Friday, December 7th at 7:00 pm. It is open to the public. Please RSVP if you plan on attending, as food will be provided. You will get to hear from a number of key people whom made this happen. Practice will be open to the public as well starting at 6 pm. Their will be a free clinic at 5 pm for whomever would like to attend. Go Panthers,
